I have just finished reading The Wal-Mart Effect: How the World’s Most Powerful Company Really Works – and How It’s Transforming the American Economy by Charles Fishman. I am presenting my synopsis of this book for today’s Urban Engagement Book Club (November 21, 2013). For that event, we focus on books on social justice and poverty, and related issues. So, yes, this book is definitely a “social justice” book.
